Franklin runs for 420 yards, dominates Surry 42-14

Travis Brown had 11 rushes for 160 yards and ran for two scores to help Franklin defeat Surrry County 42-14 Friday in the season opener for both teams.

Latrell Lane added 93 rushing yards on nine attempts for the Broncos, and Marcus Stephens had 79 yards on seven carries.

Lane and Stephens ran for a score each, Terry Warren scored on a 6-yard run, and Corey Porter ran an interception back 77 yards for a score for Franklin.

Derrick Bailey had two touchdown passes for the Cougars, a 16-yarder to Keion Ellis and a 24-yarder to Deandre Davis.
