Apprentice School took seventh place among 10 teams Saturday at the Waynesburg (Pa.) Invitational.
The Builders’ top finisher in any bracket was Jacob Michael, who took fourth at 125 pounds, a spot ahead of teammate Rob Styron.
Two Builders took sixth in their classes: Patrik Foxworth of Poquoson at 149 and Ian Jones at heavyweight (285).
The Norfolk Admirals completed a two-game weekend sweep of Bridgeport in thrilling fashion, winning 3-2 in an overtime shootout before a season-high crowd of 6,050 at Scope.
Devante Pelly-Smith tied the game by scoring with 46 seconds left in regulation. Pelly-Smith took a shot off a rebound of Alex Grant's shot. The puck hit goalie Anders Nilsson, leaked out behind him and inched across the goal line.
Admirals goalie John Gibson, who made 30 saves during 65 minutes of play, saved four of five shots by the Sound Tigers in the tiebreaker.
Norfolk's Jesse Blacker and Max Friberg netted a shootout goal each.
