Apprentice junior Isaih Harrison and sophomore Tevin Andrews were named All-Americans in the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association.
Harrison, a two-time All-American from Denbigh High, broke the Builders’ single-season records for points (553), rebounds (297), scoring average (22.1) and rebounding average (11.7).
Andrews averaged 18.1 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

Shay Shine scored 20 of his 26 points in the second half to lead High Point over host Liberty 66-60 in the first round of the Big South Conference tournament on Tuesday night.
The seventh-seeded Panthers (11-19), who rallied from being down by as many as nine points in the first half, will play No. 3 North Carolina Asheville on Thursday.
Trailing 46-40 with 10:42 remaining, High Point outscored the Flames 12-0.
Liberty fell to 19-13 and will be a candidate for a second-tier postseason tournament. ...

Stan Okoye scored 23 points to lead Virginia Military Institute past Winthrop 78-71.
The Keydets (18-12), the fourth seed, will play No. 1 seed and host Coastal Carolina in the semifinals Thursday in Conway, S.C.
VMI trailed 27-26 with 4:05 left in the first half before going on a 12-3 run that stretched into the second half. Okoye's 3 put the Keydets up 39-29 with 18:22 remaining.
VMI led the rest of the way, but the Eagles (13-17) made it a two-point game, 75-73, on Andre Jones' 3 with 37 seconds left. The Keydets then went 3 of 4 from the free-throw line. ...

Chad Gray and Anthony Raffa scored 23 points each to lead Coastal Carolina to an 83-72 home victory over Gardner-Webb.
Coastal Carolina, playing without leading scorer Desmond Holloway, who is suspended during an NCAA investigation, hit nine 3-pointers and shot 54.8 percent from the field (28 of 51).

Matt Dickey scored a career-high 29 points as host UNC Asheville held off Charleston Southern 72-63. The third-seeded Bulldogs (17-13), who won a season-high fourth straight game.


Apprentice’s Courtney Collins received USCAA All-American honorable mention, averaging 11.2 points and 6.2 rebounds for a team that opens national tournament play Wednesday. …

Game times were set for the NCAA Division III tournament games at Freeman Center.
On Friday, Johns Hopkins will face Richard Stockton at 5:30 p.m., followed by York (Pa.) against Christopher Newport at 7:30. The Friday winners will play at 5 p.m. Saturday for a spot in the Sweet 16, where the Captains are trying to return. …

In the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association quarterfinals in Charlotte, N.C., Shaw ousted Virginia State 72-53, Bowie State overcame Winston-Salem State 63-56, and St. Augustine's edged Elizabeth City State 70-68. ...
