COACH: Franklin Chatman, 4th year, 46-34 record
OPENER: Nov. 8 vs. Penn State Fayette at Penn State Greater Allegheny Tournament.
5 GAMES TO WATCH: Nov. 26 at Va. Wesleyan; Dec. 11 vs. Southern Va.; Dec. 19 vs. Elizabeth City State; Jan. 17-19 host MLK Classic; Feb. 3 vs. Chowan
STRENGTH: Experience. Only four newcomers on a 15-man roster and all but three returning have played two or more years under Chatman.
WEAKNESS: No set go-to scorer. A new look for the Builders as no one player you can constantly depend on for 18-22 points per game. They have several potential options to get into that category, but no set player as they have had the last five years.
PREDICTION: A schedule toughened with 12 games against scholarship opponents will have the Builders ready for a potential third straight U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship bid. November will be a test with six of seven games on the road, including the first of two with NCAA Division II Chowan University and the first of two against NAIA Division I opposition when they face West Virginia Tech. A key early contest is at Virginia Wesleyan, which will be looking to avenge a 100-89 loss to the Builders in January.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
