Wines associated with rock n’ roll stars are the draw at the Virginia Wine Society’s next Wine in the Garden series coming up at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, in Gloucester.
Billed as a “Billboard Rock N’ Roll Wine Tasting,” the event will feature the wines of The Rolling Stones, The Grateful Dead, White Snake and others. Charlottesville-area rocker Dave Matthews, who has gotten into the wine business in Virginia and California, also will be represented.
“These are terrific wines (both white and red) that will make for a fun tasting,” writes organizer Charles Birr. “By the way, they are not cheap wines! These are small production, limited availability wines.”
Tickets are $40. The event will take place in the air-conditioned pavilion on the grounds of Brent and Becky’s Bulbs, 7900 Daffoldil Lane, Gloucester. More information is available at www.virginiawinesociety.com.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
