The Public House calls itself a “gastropub,” which the owners define as putting a creative spin on traditional pub food.
The new eatery has opened up in the space formerly occupied by Magnolia’s at Princess Anne Road and Colley Avenue in the Ghent section of Norfolk.
Appetizers include panko-encrusted chicken tenders and O’Connor’s Stout French Onion Soup and the lineup of sandwiches includes beer-battered fish sandwich and a plloughman’s Lunch
Entrees include roasted pork tenderloin, shrimp and grits, Shepherd’s pie and two kinds of mac n cheese. There’s also fiish and chips, braised short ribs, lamb shanks and a New York strip steak.
