Peninsula Jaycees host pub crawl fundraiser at Peninsula Town Center

Daily Press

Peninsula Town Center and the Peninsula Jaycees are teaming up for the inaugural Bar Olympics and Pub Crawl on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Hampton shopping center.

The event will begin at 2 p.m. at Park Lane, followed by visits to Buffalo Wild Wings, The Greene Turtle, CinéBistro and Bar Louie. The crawl will complete at Park Lane with a “medal ceremony” to announce the victors.

Designated athletes will compete in ‘Minute to Win It’ style games at each location. Other crawlers will enjoy the entertainment while sampling a drink special and hors d’ouvres.

“We love when we can have our restaurants join a great cause,” says Suzanne Higgs, the center’s marketing manager. “The Peninsula Jaycees have created a fun event for people to try our restaurants and support local nonprofits.”

The Peninsula Jaycees, a Peninsula Town Center Change for Charity partner, are a civic group of young professionals who connect locally with other nonprofits and groups to benefit Hampton Roads.

Tickets are $60 for athletes and participants, $35 for non-drinkers. Participants must be age 21 and older, and tickets must be purchased in advance.
