The renovated library

The $31.2 million project to renovate and expand Earl Gregg Swem Library at the College of William and Mary is about half completed. The library opened its addition, with 98,000 extra square feet, in October. Workers are now renovating the second and third floors of the original building, which was erected in 1966 and had become a notoriously bad place to study.
