By this point we've learned some of the tricks from our northern neighbors that had little use during previous winters: we know to drip the faucets to keep pipes from freezing, to put on a second pair of socks, to own a snow shovel.
It was almost a month ago when the Daily Press' front page carried the headline, "SNOW FATIGUE SETTING IN."
As snow continues to fall lightly across much of Hampton Roads and Newport News it's safe to say the snow and wintery conditions are firmly set in.
The latest forecast from the National Weather Service office in Wakefield says there is likely to be some more snow and sleet this afternoon and tonight, but (mercifully) little accumulation.
And to make matters better, both the five-day NWS forecast and a 10-day forecast on www.weather.com say today's snow is all that's on the horizon.
So, until this winter's next surprise, bundle up and cross your fingers.
