On the Cheap is celebrating its first anniversary this month. In recognition of that milestone, we're asking cheapsters to send in a favorite tip gleaned from the column over the past year. We'd also like to hear about the one you've found most useful — though they might coincide, they're not necessarily one and the same.
Perhaps your favorite was the one recommending the use of a bucket to catch the bathtub water before it becomes hot enough to use and redirecting it to flushing the toilet.
Or, perhaps it is one of the uses for vinegar, dryer sheets, or baking soda that our readers have lavished us with. Or you've saved on your Internet connections, phone bills, electric bills, home heating bills, or groceries. Not that we're bragging, because they're all your ideas. But you get the picture. And if you can calculate just how much you've saved by following one or many tips, then let us know the amount.
On the Cheap will resume with your comments and tips on Feb. 16.
