Retro Baltimore: 50 things we miss

Brian Gibson

Brian Gibson didn't take the split with his 21-year-old girlfriend well, according to Hampton police. They say the 19-year-old's behavior turned threatening when she found a new boyfriend. "He sent the victim constant text messages," said Hampton police spokeswoman Cpl. Allison Good. "When she had a new boyfriend the messages became vulgar and threatening." Police say on April 21, about a month and a half after the relationship ended, Gibson followed his former girlfriend in a white Honda Civic, blocking her car. Gibson is accused of pulling up next to her brandishing a gun about 9:45 p.m. on Woodland Road near the Andrews Boulevard intersection. "Four or five shots were fired. We do not know whether he was shooting at her or in the air," Good said.
