Are you feeling healthy Gloucestonians? The 5th annual County Health Rankings and Roadmaps survey was released on Wednesday and Gloucester finished in the middle of the pack.
Out of 133 Virginia localities, Gloucester was ranked 52nd, according to the survey results.
The survey measures health factors such as longevity, obesity, exercise, smoking and air quality to calculate the health of the locality's residents.
Gloucester received a high ranking of 16 for physical environment, which includes air pollution, the quality of drinking water, commuting times and other factors.
But rising rates of obesity and physical inactivity contributed to lower overall scores, according to the survey.
Loudon County topped the survey. York County finished 5th and James City County finished 6th.
