The popular Beach Bums consignment sale will take place Wednesday, Feb. 12 through Saturday, Feb. 15 in Hampton.
This is the eighth year that sale founders Leah Hooper and Kim Baust have hosted the children's consignment sale on the Peninsula. Shoppers can find gently used children's spring season clothing, toys, equipment, and other items focused on family and children.
Clothing that is left after the sale is donated to Hampton city schools for children who need clothing. All other leftover items are donated to a women's shelter.
"This sale we sold out of consignor spots in just seven days and have been on a wait list basis ever since," Hooper says. "We will have 113 consignors this time. We are definitely going to be packed full of things."
The sale will take place in a vacant space in the Coliseum Crossing Shopping Center behind Peninsula Town Center in Hampton.
New moms who are pregnant with their first child or whose first child is less than 12 months old may register for the "New Mom Pre-sale," which will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
New moms should pre-register at this link: beachbumssale.com.
Moms with a military I.D. can shop from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12. Pre-registration is not required, but shoppers must bring their military identification.
The sale is open to the public from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, when everything will be marked down by 50 percent.
