Tastefully Yours, the annual bash hosted by the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, marks a big anniversary this month — 20 years of raising funds by this worthy organization.
More than 35 restaurants and food service organizations have signed up for this year's food and wine event, which will take place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. Tickets are now on sale.
Participating restaurants include Bailey’s Pub and Grill, Bensi Ristorante Italiano, The Grey Goose, Briar Patch Tea Room, Happy Belly Restaurant, Salsa's Mexican Grill, The Chamberlin, Hayashi Sushi & Grill, Schlesinger's at Port Warwick, Cheddars Casual Café and Smoke BBQ.
Also Nawab Indian Cuisine, The Melting Pot, Thai Erawan Restaurant, Cyprus Grille at Embassy Suites, Opus 9 Steakhouse, Tucanos Brazilian Grill, Fin Seafood, Park Lane Tavern, Vintner's Cellar Winery of Yorktown, Plaza Azteca, Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill and Rajput Indian Cuisine.
These organizations will be on hand as well: Girl Scout Colonial Coast Council, Rodgers' Banana Pudding Sauce, Sabrosa Foods, “Mango, Mango” Mango Preserves, The Chesapeake Bay Catering Company, Starbucks, The Custom Cake Shoppe, Trader Joe's, Ethereal Cupcakes and Coffee Shoppe, Oysters for Life, Foodbank's Culinary Training Program and Fresh Events by Farm Fresh.
In addition to an international wine selection, the event will offer a lineup of beers such as Budweiser’s Black Crown and Goose Island.
