Hampton's Saturday Summer Street Fest, known casually as the block party, will return April 21 with The Fighting Jamesons and will continue through the summer with acts including Fastball and The BoDeans.
Mostly, the event concentrates on local cover bands. National acts are sprinkled in to give the lineup some extra zing.
As has been the case for years, the street party will take place along Queensway in downtown. It will include beer and food vendors as well as children's activities. Admission is free. For more information, call 727-0900 or visit www.vasc.org.
