Yorktown Market Days will be offering a series of chef demonstrations in the coming weeks.
Located on the Yorktown waterfront between Buckner and Ballard Streets, the market operates from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday through Sept. 17 and on selected Saturdays in the fall. The market offers locally grown produce and the opportunity to watch local chefs demonstrate dishes using items found at the market.
Chef demonstrations take place at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Saturdays. Here’s the lineup of participating organizations:
July 16 — Bill Cole of York River Inn Bed & Breakfast
July 23 — Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center
Aug. 6 — Riverwalk Restaurant
Aug. 20 — Williamsburg Landing
Aug. 27 — Virginia Marine Products Board
Sept. 3 — Mrs. Bryant’s Specialty Foods & Sauces
Nov. 12 — Vintner’s Cellar Winery of Yorktown
The market hosts more than 35 local farmers, vendors and artists and offers fresh produce, meat and seafood, baked goods, gourmet herbs, cut flowers, potted plants, cheese, handmade soaps, coffee, live music and art.
