Auction to benefit child who needs bone marrow transplant

The Applebee's at Chesapeake Square Mall will be remodeled and will hold a silent auction of its artifacts. All proceeds will benefit 4-year-old Shawn Hall of Virginia Beach, who needs a bone marrow transplant.

Shawn suffers from aplastic anemia, which means his marrow does not produce enough new cells for his body. It's expected to cost $60,000.
