Achilles Elementary School wins state recognition

Achilles Elementary School has earned the 2013 Virginia Board of Education Distinguished Achievement Award, as announced by Gov. Bob McDonnell today.

The school was among 98 across Virginia that met all state and federal benchmarks for at least two consecutive years and made progress toward the goals of the governor and board, according to a press release.
