Pile on the aphrodisiac with the three-day Oyster Fest at Tribes Alehouse, 11220 W. Lincoln Hwy. From Thursday to SaturdayTribes will serve more than eight varieties of East and West Coast oysters plus snow crab, shrimp, middle-neck clams, oyster shooters and other raw bar specialties.
Also on Thursday, Tribes will tap New Belgium's newest release, Snapshot Wheat, along with a rare vintage of New Belgium's Valentine ale. Guests are invited to have a snapshot taken with their sweethearts in the New Belgium photo booth.

Try your hand at solving the murder of a pickle baron while savoring barbecue when St. Louis-based Jest Murder Mystery Co. presents "Clueless" at 6:30 p.m. Fridayat Smokey Barque, 20 Kansas St. in Frankfort.
The murder-mystery dinner costs $40 and includes a four-course dinner of soup, salad, pulled pork, baked chicken, smoked veggies, garlic mashed potatoes, dessert, coffee and tea.A cash bar will be available.

Dinner and a concert featuring vocalist Nick Willett, a Chicagoan influenced by Dean Martin, Elvis, Rick Nelson, Jackie Wilson and others, will be offered Fridayat CD and Me, 23220 S. LaGrange Road.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for dinner. The concert will be at 8 p.m.

A Valentine's Day All-You-Can-Eat Buffet will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at IKEA, 750 E. Boughton Road.
The menu will feature Italian wedding and tomato bisque soup, salad, herb-roasted chicken with asparagus, red potatoes, penne pasta with Alfredo or marinara sauce and cider, coffee or soda. Dessert is a choice of tiramisu or the Taste of Sweden Sampler (cocoa ball, almond pastry and elderflower cupcake).
Tickets are $12.99, or $9.99 with the IKEA Family card. For children 12 and under, tickets are $6.99 or $4.99.

A Valentine's Dance to benefit Relay For Life of Bolingbrook is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturdayat the Bolingbrook Golf Club, 2001 Rodeo Drive..
The dance will feature dinner, a cash bar, dancing and an auction. Tickets are $50 per person or $95 per couple.
If celebrating Valentine's Day with drinks and cigars a week later works better for your schedule, the Bolingbrook Golf Club will host a whiskey and wine tasting from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb.21.
Whiskies from around the globe will be served along with food station pairings and desserts. The event also will have musical entertainment and a heated outdoor cigar lounge.
Tickets are $95 in advance or $105 at the door and include a custom bourbon glass.
Tickets for designated drivers, including a pre-party at 5 p.m., are $35 in advance or $40 at the door.
