Barbara Miller of LaPorte, Ind., holds her cross stitched copy of Edward Hopper's "Night Hawks" in front of the larger original at the Art Institute of Chicago. She completed the work in December after spending 3 1/2 years working on it while dreaming of being able to hold it next to the original. Other masterpieces she has cross stitched include: Leonardo's "Mona Lisa," van Gogh's "Starry Night," Klimt's "The Kiss," Grant Wood's "American Gothic" and more. "Night Hawks" is her largest. She uses computer generated cross stitch patterns.
