The following items were taken from police reports:
A 26-year-old Chicago man was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and illegal possession of ammunition without a firearm owner's identification card on the 100 block of Ontario Street at 3:06 a.m. Feb. 20.
A 24-year-old Chicago man was arrested on a River Forest warrant for trespassing at 1:45 p.m. Feb. 20 on the 700 block of Lake Street.
Two attempts at luring a child into a van were reported Feb. 19. In the first, an Oak Park boy was walking south on the west side of the 200 block of North Elmwood Avenue between 8:20 and 8:30 a.m. when he saw a man in his 40s with a gray beard standing next to a white minivan. The man asked the boy how he was and whether he wanted a ride. The boy did not reply and continued walking as the man and van left in an unknown direction. At 9 a.m., a dark-blue older minivan pulled up next to an Oak Park girl who was walking west on the south side of the on the 100 block of Madison Street and the male driver in his mid-20s asked her if she wanted a ride. She refused and the van went east. Another man in his 20s was in the rear seat of the van, which had no rear license plate.
A 53-year-old Chicago man was charged with theft from West Suburban Hospital and driving while his license was suspended after his car was stopped on the 200 block of South Elmwood Avenue at 11:01 a.m. Feb. 19.
A 42-year-old woman living on the 600 block of Harrison Street was charged with battery of another Oak Park resident at 8:23 p.m. Feb. 18 on her block.
Two Chicago boys were charged with theft of UPS packages just delivered on front porches of homes on the 1000 blocks of Columbian and North East avenues at 12:33 and 12:40 p.m. Feb. 17 from a truck they had been watching. They were released to a guardian.
A 51-year-old Oak Park man living on the 100 block of South Maple Avenue was charged with possession of cannabis when arrested at home at 10:50 a.m. Feb. 15.
A 24-year-old man living on the 800 block of South Oak Park Avenue was charged with criminal damage to property Feb. 14 after he was identified as the person who damaged the front window of a business on his block.
A 29-year-old Waukesha resident was charged with the aggravated battery of a Berwyn resident on the 500 block of South Maple Avenue at 8:25 a.m. Feb. 15.
A 35-year-old Oak Park man living on the 400 block of South Oak Park Avenue was arrested at 5:08 p.m. Feb. 15 on his block on a village warrant for driving under the influence,
A 49-year-old woman living on the 800 block of South Oak Park Avenue was arrested on her block at 9:25 a.m. Feb. 15 on an unidentified warrant from outside Oak Park.
A 24-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 1:54 p.m. Feb. 15 on the 400 block of North Austin Boulevard on a Cicero warrant for trespassing and Cook County warrant for retail theft.
A 30-year-old Skokie man was charged with aggravated driving under the influence and driving with a revoked driver's license after his car was in a crash on the 300 block of North Oak Park Avenue at 8:52 a.m. Feb. 16.
A man in his 30s tried to prepay at a business on the 200 block of Madison for jacket repair with a counterfeit $50 bill at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 15. When the employee noticed the bill looked fake, the 6-foot-tall man fled east on Madison.
An 18-inch gold chain; gold and diamond wedding ring; and a gold ring, all worth $1,900, were stolen between Feb. 16 and 20 from the top of a dresser in a home on the 600 block of South Maple Avenue where entry was made either with a key or through a malfunctioning and unlocked front door.
Eight cases of Girl Scout cookies worth $384 were stolen between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 19 out of a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Chicago Avenue, where entry was made through an open rear door.
A silver Garmin global positioning system unit worth $100 was stolen between 7:50 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Feb. 20 out of an Oak Park resident's car parked on the 100 block of North Scoville Avenue where the front driver's side window was broken for entry.
Three boxes containing miscellaneous tools and copper pipe, all worth $3,000, were stolen between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 18 out of a garage on the 900 block of South Humphrey Avenue.
A cordless DeWalt drill worth $200 was stolen between Feb. 14 and Feb. 17 out of a garage on the 900 block of South East Avenue where entry was made by standing on a plastic lawn chair, cutting a screen and forcing open a rear sliding window.
A red Craftsman snow blower and an orange Ridgid generator, both worth $1,400, were stolen between Feb. 8 and Feb. 16 out of a garage on the 500 block of North Cuyler Avenue where the side door had been left unlocked.
An olive-colored shaving bag containing a men's watch and $80 was stolen between 1 and 10 p.m. Feb. 12 out of a home on the 300 block of Wesley Avenue. The total loss was $340.
A red sweater; three pairs of ballet shoes; black snow pants; a blue jean jacket; two streamers; two baton flags; a tambourine; a red flannel tote bag; and a purple canvas bag, all worth $260, were stolen between 5:40 p.m. Feb. 12 and 10:20 a.m. Feb. 13 out of an Oak Park resident's car parked on the 100 block of Washington Boulevard.
The deadbolt lock to the rear door of a home on the 500 block of Clarence Avenue was defeated between noon and 3 p.m. Feb. 16 in an attempted burglary but no entry was made. Damage was $50.
A white 1999 Mitsubishi box truck belonging to Y.H. Foods in Chicago and reported stolen Feb. 11 to Illinois state police was found at 1:23 a.m. Feb. 18 on the 1000 block of Garfield Street.
A Chicago resident's green 1999 Nissan Quest stolen Feb. 11 in Oak Park was found by Chicago police on Feb. 14 on the 1200 block of Woodbine.
A heavy man 30 to 40 years old stole a bag of rock salt worth $12.50 from the loading dock of West Suburban Hospital, 100 block of Eric Court, between 9:30 and 9:38 a.m. Feb. 18 and left in a dark Pontiac.
An Oak Park resident's silver 1997 Honda Accord worth $2,500 was stolen between 6 and 8:08 p.m. Feb. 13 on the 500 block of North Lombard Avenue.
A Samsung Galaxy cell phone worth $400 and $20 in cash were stolen out of a Geneva woman's purse that was left unattended in the women's bathroom of a building on the 700 block of Lake Street between 8:30 and 9:18 p.m. Feb. 19.
A Joliet resident's wallet containing a driver's license, credit card and Social Security card was stolen between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 12 on the 400 block of Lake Street. The loss was $40.
An Oak Park resident's black Apple iPhone worth $300 was stolen between 1:23 and 2:11 p.m. Feb. 12 out of an unlocked locker at Oak Park and River Forest High School, 201 N. Scoville Ave.
A man 18 to 25 years old wearing a black jacket and stocking cap was seen through video surveillance stealing two containers of Tide liquid laundry detergent worth $34.98 at the Jewel-Osco store on the 400 block of Madison Street between 7:42 and 7:47 a.m. Feb. 12.
An unattended black Apple iPhone worth $550 was stolen between 12:05 and 12:07 p.m. Feb. 15 from an Oak Park resident's bicycle standing on the 1100 block of Lake Street.
The driver's-side doors were scratched on a Franklin Park resident's car parked on the 1100 block of Ontario Street between noon and 9:25 p.m. Feb. 20, causing $800 damage.
The front driver's-side mirror of an Oak Park resident's car parked on 300 block of North Oak Park Avenue was damaged at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13.
A 41-year-old Chicago man was charged with felony retail theft for taking $103 worth of liquor at the Jewel Food store, 7525 Lake St., at 4:36 p.m. Feb. 16. He was found a few blocks away from the store. The charge was upgraded to a felony due to a previous conviction in 2011 for retail theft.
A 22-year-old Chicago man was charged with criminal trespass to land after he refused to leave the 7-Eleven store at 1140 N. Harlem Ave,. at 5:54 am. Feb. 15.
A 49-year-old Forest Park man was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and other unidentified traffic offenses after his car almost hit several marked police squad cars that were making a traffic stop near Lake Street and Harlem Avenue at 1:54 a.m. Feb. 13. He appeared drunk, failed field sobriety tests and his blood-alcohol content was .125, more than the .08 legal limit.
A 55-year-old woman from Huntington Beach, Calif., was charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of liquor and other unidentified traffic violations when police had to make several attempts to wake her while they found her car was running while parked on the 1400 block of Jackson Avenue at 11:32 p.m. Feb. 10. Open alcohol was found in the car. She appeared drunk, failed field sobriety tests and her blood-alcohol content was .156, almost double the legal limit of .08.
Police responded Feb. 23 about 4:30 p.m. to a report of two teens smoking marijuana outside a building on the 300 block of East Plainfield Road. Police found three teens, one of whom was smoking a cigarette.
An irate man was reported Feb. 23 about 5:30 p.m. throwing ice chunks on to Bluff Avenue. Police made him shovel it back onto his property.
A group of teens were reported running into a West Harris Avenue restaurant Feb. 22 and screaming obscenities.
An officer reported Feb. 22 that a meter had popped off the pole on the 500 block of West Hillgrove Avenue.
A man was reported peeking out through blankets hung inside a vehicle parked on the 100 block of South Ashland Avenue Feb. 21.
