Winnetka, Wilmette police blotter: Jan. 20

The following items were taken from police reports.


Two silver pitchers were stolen from an apartment in the Mather Place, 2801 Old Glenview Road, a woman reported on Jan. 10.

Graffiti, the letters "NCV," "crew" and "OGBD," were written on a marble wall adjacent to the alley in the 1100 block of Wilmette Avenue on Jan 11.

Three village of Wilmette parking signs were sprayed with graffiti on Jan. 13. The vandals wrote "NCV" and "OGBD."

Officers are investigating a fight between two juveniles after a party in the 100 block of Linden Avenue on Jan. 12.

A man, 27, wanted for a Wilmette drug bond forfeiture warrant, was arrested by Evanston police on Jan. 12 and was picked up and held for transport to Wilmette.

An officer observed a vehicle sitting in an alley in the 1000 block of Greenwood Avenue on Jan. 12. The driver, 23, of Glencoe, was charged with possession of cannabis.

A Wilmette youth, 15, was arrested for battery on Jan. 10 and petitioned to juvenile court after police responded to a report of a subject bleeding in the 500 block of 4th Street.

A man reported on Jan 10 that his iPhone either fell out of his book bag or off his lap as he exited a vehicle in the 3500 block of Greenwood Avenue on Jan. 10.

A disagreement Jan. 10 between two workers at Sunrise Assisted Living, 615 Ridge Road, led to threats, and the police were called.

A woman in the 900 block of Sheridan Road told police on Jan. 11 that she is receiving unwanted contact from a person she met on an online dating service.

Police stopped a vehicle for a minor violation in the 3000 block of Glenview Road on Jan. 11, and discovered the driver's license had been suspended. The Glenview resident was placed under arrest, transported to the station, processed and released on bond.

A 20-year-old Glenview man stopped for a minor offense in the 3000 block of Old Glenview Road on Jan. 12 was found to be in possession of cannabis. He was arrested, processed and released on bond.

A Chicago man, 24, stopped for traffic offenses in the 3500 block of Lake Avenue on Jan. 10, was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.


A Waukegan man, 31, was arrested for driving with a suspended driver's license and was also cited for no rear lights in the 1300 block of Willow Road on Jan. 11.

Graffiti was written on several underpass areas around Green Bay Trail, Pine Street, Eldorado Street and Tower Road on Jan. 10. Public works was notified for removal. Repair costs are unknown. | Twitter: @TribLocal
