Brian C. White, community investment manager, Charter One and RBS Citizens

Brian C. White, 42, has been appointed vice president and Illinois community investment manager for Charter One and RBS Citizens. He will focus on leveraging the bank's existing relationships with community organizations and leaders, and fostering new relationships to effectively serve the banking needs of the greater Chicagoland region's low- and moderate-income communities, small businesses and economic development initiatives.

Prior to joining Charter One and RBS Citizens, White was the founding executive director of Lakeside Community Development Corporation, a Chicago-based nonprofit that serves a mission of preserving and creating affordable housing opportunities through education, research, advocacy, and real estate development. 

White has a Bachelor's degree from Knox College and a Master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
