Larry Koplow, 45, has been promoted to associate creative director at AbelsonTaylor. During his four-year tenure with the agency, he has been a digital, print and broadcast writer for numerous brands in categories that range from oncology to schizophrenia, diabetes to children¿s nutrition. His work includes product launches, sales aids and motivational tools, videos, websites, email campaigns, print, TV and even one comic book. Before joining AbelsonTaylor, he worked as a freelance copywriter for two years, developing campaigns for both consumer and healthcare ad agencies, working on accounts that included hospitals, rehabilitation centers and transportation companies. Koplow began his advertising career as a copywriter in the Chicago offices of FCB (now Draftfcb), working on accounts such as KFC, Taco Bell, John Deere, Kraft, Coors and Boeing. An attorney by training, Koplow began his copywriting career in 1999 as associate director of continuing education for the American Bar Association in Chicago. He started his career in publishing, working as editor, product and marketing manager for West Group Legal Publishing, in Raleigh, N.C. and Chicago, where he managed marketing, sales and product development of books, CDs and online legal reference materials. Koplow has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville and a law degree from Duke University.
