Michael H. Baniak has joined the intellectual property practice group in the litigation department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. His practice includes all facets of intellectual property transactions, prosecution, counseling and litigation which spans patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret law. Baniak was previous at McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. He has been involved in upwards of 300 intellectual property lawsuits during his career, more than half of which were patent litigation matters. Baniak has been an adjunct professor of patent and copyright law classes at Northwestern University School of Law since 1986. He Baniak earned a Bachelor's degree from University of Dayton and a law degree from the Indiana University School of Law.
