Lorraine Tyson has joined the Chicago law firm of Pugh, Jones & Johnson as a partner in the public finance practice group. She advises clients on federal tax issues and securities law issues that arise in public finance and privatization transactions. She has acted as bond counsel, underwriters counsel, issuers counsel or letter of credit counsel in connection with financings by the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, the Regional Transportation Authority, the Illinois Finance Authority, the Illinois Housing Development Authority, Cook County, Illinois and the Board of Education of the City of Chicago. Tyson was previously with the Chicago office of Mayer Brown. She received her bachelor's degree from Northwestern University, a law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law and an LLM in taxation from Northwestern University School of Law.
