Shari E. Runner has joined the Chicago Urban League in the new post of senior vice president for strategy and community development. Runner will oversee and manage operations in all program areas, help increase financial support to the Urban League and help develop strategic objectives. She comes to the Urban League from ACT Charter School, where she was director of finance and operations. Before that, she held management positions at the Center for Urban School Improvement at The University of Chicago and ABN-AMRO Bank. Runner received her bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University and her MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
