Upwardly Global, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating barriers to professional jobs for foreign-educated immigrants and refugees in the United States, has named John C. Robak to its national board of directors.
Robak, 43, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Greeley and Hansen, an environmental engineering firm, will help set policies and develop strategies for Upwardly Global.
He has more than 20 years of human resources experience, currently with Greeley and Hansen, where he is responsible for firm-wide human resources, information technolog, and corporate communications activities, as well as legal affairs and the firms governance system. He also spent time heading the HR operations at public relations firm Golin Harris.
Robak has an MBA from Loyola University Chicago and a B.S. in Commerce in Human Resources from DePaul University.
