Sara Lee may be narrowing its focus to food. But its businesses, which include Douwe Egberts coffee and Hillshire Farm deli meats (above) still have little in common, one reason the company has become a tempting takeover target. "They've struggled to find the profitable core business (they) can fall back on, and the problem is they've never really found that," Tim Calkins, a professor at <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="OREDU0000132" title="Northwestern University" href="/topic/education/colleges-universities/northwestern-university-OREDU0000132.topic">Northwestern University's</a> Kellogg School of Management, told the Tribune.
