History Comes Alive in Springfield

In Springfield, a special exhibit at the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PEHST002241" title="Abraham Lincoln" href="/topic/politics/government/presidents-of-the-united-states/abraham-lincoln-PEHST002241.topic">Abraham Lincoln</a> Presidential Library & Museum takes visitors inside what it was like to be a president during the Civil War. During "History Comes Alive," which runs through August 15, visitors will also enjoy a wide array of free interpretive experiences at multiple Lincoln historic sites, including:  Lincoln Home National Historic Site, Old State Capitol, Lincoln-Herndon Law Office, Lincoln Depot and Vachel Lindsay Home. In addition, costumed interpreters will host a variety of programs throughout the historic downtown area.
