Meet the Bulls

Dalibor Bagaric 11, Center

Height: 7-1.

Weight: 290.

Country, experience: Croatia, third season.

Comment: Worked hard in the off-season, but his skill hasn't matched his size. On injured list.

Lonny Baxter 35, Forward

Height: 6-7.

Weight: 260.

College, experience: Maryland, rookie.

Comment: The second-round pick likely will be on the injured list. But he's fundamentally sound and had huge games in the preseason.

Corie Blount 43, Forward-center

Height: 6-10.

Weight: 242.

College, experience: Cincinnati, 10th season.

Comment: A steady veteran presence who possesses an effective baseline jumper and will be one of the team's top rebounders per minute.

Rick Brunson 9, Guard

Height: 6-4.

Weight: 190.

College, experience: Temple, sixth season.

Comment: The third point guard in a two-point-guard rotation. Will provide leadership in practice and hard-nosed defense once he's off the injured list.

Tyson Chandler 3, Forward-center

Height: 7-1.

Weight: 235.

High school, experience: Dominguez (Calif.), second season.

Comment: His flashes of defensive dominance are still offset by foul trouble. But he added muscle and a larger offensive awareness this off-season.

Jamal Crawford 1, Guard

Height: 6-5.

Weight: 190.

College, experience: Michigan, third season.

Comment: One of the team's best perimeter shooters and an improved defender. He'll have to handle splitting time with Jay Williams.

Eddy Curry 2, Center

Height: 6-11.

Weight: 285.

High school, experience: Thornwood, second season.

Comment: Still needs to get tougher, especially on defense. But he has developed two go-to moves this off-season and had big games in the preseason.

Marcus Fizer 21, Forward

Height: 6-8.

Weight: 260.

College, experience: Iowa State, third season.

Comment: Has flourished in—and seems to have accepted—role as go-to scorer off the bench. Needs to improve defensively.

Trenton Hassell 44, Guard-forward

Height: 6-5.

Weight: 200.

College, experience: Austin Peay, second season.

Comment: Considered the team's best defender. Struggled offensively during the preseason.

Fred Hoiberg 20, Guard

Height: 6-5.

Weight: 210.

College, experience: Iowa State, eighth season.

Comment: A steadying influence on offense, both for his ability to run the triangle and hit the open shot. Might not play much but won't make waves.

Donyell Marshall 42, Forward

Height: 6-9.

Weight: 230.

College, experience: Connecticut, ninth season.

Comment: Averaged a double-double during the preseason and will be counted on to be a reliable force on the boards from either forward slot.

Roger Mason Jr. 31, GuardHeight: 6-5.

Weight: 200.

College, experience: Virginia, rookie.

Comment: Out until January or February after separating his shoulder. Management is high on his ability to defend and play either guard.

Eddie Robinson 32, Forward

Height: 6-9.

Weight: 210.

College, experience: Central Oklahoma, fourth season.

Comment: If he stays healthy, his athletic ability will be an asset. One of the team's best players in transition.

Jalen Rose 5, Guard-forward

Height: 6-8.

Weight: 217.

College, experience: Michigan, ninth season.

Comment: As the team's captain, not much is expected—just lead the team in scoring, provide leadership and hit the clutch shots.

Jay Williams 22, Guard

Height: 6-1.

Weight: 195.

College, experience: Duke, rookie.

Comment: How a player who likes to penetrate and pass adjusts to the triangle will be a key to how his rookie season goes. He'll play a lot.
