Travis LaTendresse caught Russ Michna's 15-yard TD pass with six seconds remaining, lifting the Rush past the Kansas City Brigade 49-42 in Arena Football on Monday night.
LaTendresse ran a perfect corner route to score the winning points and had seven receptions for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
Michna was 20 of 28 for 213 yards and four touchdowns with one rushing score as the Rush improved to 5-2. Kansas City has lost all six of its games this season.
Michna was making his second start of the season, with starter Sherdrick Bonner nursing a knee injury.
"We knew this was going to be a difficult game," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "Kansas City has a very solid defense, and it is just a matter of time before it all comes together for them."
Rush receiver Damian Harrell had five catches for 81 yards and one touchdown.
Brigade quarterback D Bryant finished 22 of 37 for 211 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions. Jerel Myers had 11 catches for 88 yards and a touchdown, while Mike Horacek hauled in six passes for 95 yards and two scores.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
