Odetta

Odetta is a tiny, soft, fluffy, affectionate and friendly, seven-pound, green-eyed Maine Coon/long-haired tabby-mix kitty looking for a loving home.

I took Odetta into my home in January after she was found wandering as a stray ¿¿¿ matted and starving. She's since been fully-vetted and professionally groomed, had full-bloodwork, urinalysis, x-rays and a few of her canine teeth pulled ¿¿¿ In other words, she's had a kitty make-over.

Odetta is now a very happy, talkative cat that is full of purrs, drools and head butts. She sleeps most of the day away, waking up for her favorite canned food, and following you around for the occasional petting session. She tolerates other cats and dogs, but I really think she'd prefer to be the center of someone's universe. My vet guessed her to be at least 10 years of age ¿¿¿ but the longer I've had her, the younger she seems.

I put her in a harness and leash this weekend and took her for a little walk around my yard and garden. I can't say we moved very quickly, but she certainly was adventurous. She is also good on car rides - something I can rarely say about a cat. And, although she has all her claws, she's so very gentle, she's never used them on anything.

To meet and possibly adopt Odetta, please contact me directly ¿¿¿ Her adoption fee of $75 benefits rescued pets. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, virus--ested and healthy for a senior cat.
