Cisco is a handsome, incredibly sweet, friendly, and loving 18-month-old, 45-pound, male American Bulldog-mix looking for a loving home. Cisco is a very special dog, looking for a very special person ¿¿¿ could it be you?
Sadly, Cisco was found over the winter as little more than skin and bones frozen to the ground in a Chicago backyard. His people had left him there to suffer without shelter, food and water. He had gnawed off his own leg to get free of the frostbite that had taken his leg. He then suffered through two surgeries to correct his less than perfect amputation skills.
He is such a lovable boy and great with people of all ages, including children. He is good with other dogs when introduced slowly and properly. He is perfectly happy with a cushy bed and a bone to chew. He didn't ask for what has happened to him, but he is asking for a loving home to live out his life as normally as possible. He would do best in a home without many stairs to climb, and he does not need long walks, just quick potty breaks. And, he may need a wheelchair when he gets older ¿¿¿ right now he is strong and able to get around on his own three legs.
Cisco is otherwise very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines and heartworm-tested. His adoption fee of $150 goes towards the rescued dogs of Angel4Cause Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt him, please fill out an adoption application at http://www.angel4causerescue.com/Volunteer.html
