New men's shop at Saks Fifth Avenue and other shopping deals and events

Sax Fifth Avenue opened two new levels catering to the "modern man" with everything from suits, ties and shoes galore to denim, outerwear, accessories and luggage. The Fifth Avenue Man, located on the sixth and seventh floors of the Michigan Avenue store, opened last week and is billed as one of the largest men's shoe stores in the Midwest. With consultants dressed to the nines, the store boasts more than 500 styles. The sixth floor is dedicated to classic luxury menswear, featuring brands from Armani and Brioni to Gucci and Gravati. The seventh floor is more contemporary with a "denim bar" and brands like Alexander McQueen, Kenzo, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Givenchy. Fashion designer and stylist Sararose Krenger has opened a new boutique, SARAROSE, on Oak Street geared toward styling, beauty and wellness services. The designer previously owned Stix and Roses in Irving Park but has set up shop with a new concept—lifestyle and personal branding. Krenger and her team specialize in personal styling for all sorts of occasions from interviews to weddings. Consultations start at $250.
