You can tell it's summer -- the best sales at Chicago grocery stores are all produce! I love it, too.
This week at Jewel-Osco, fresh chicken split breasts or thighs is $1 a pound, and you can get all kinds of berries for $1.99 a package. There are instant savings promotions if you buy 10 items each from Oscar Mayer or General Mills, and a $5 discount if you buy Pepsi products together with the new Ron Santo book. See the full Jewel-Osco deal summary.
Dominick's is having a slow week, but they are selling a variety of meats for $2.49 a pound. Their "buy 8 or more, save $.50 apiece" promotion is still ongoing. See the full Dominick's deal summary.
The Caputo's ad has a store coupon that has also been seen on Peapod and at Ultra recently: Buy four Dannon multipacks, get a free gallon of milk. Strawberries are $1.50 a pound there and peaches 99 cents a pound.
Aldi has strawberries for 99 cents a pound and watermelons for $2.99.
At Ultra, peaches are 68 cents a pound, red seedless grapes are 78 cents a pound, and chicken drumsticks or thighs are 78 cents a pound.
