Here are the top deals and coupons found in this weekend's Sunday Chicago Tribune. My favorite deals this week are free Dove deodorant at Walgreens (after coupons) and the free oatmeal at McDonalds coupon.

COUPONS: Just one insert this week, a RedPlum. No SmartSource. The highlights of the RedPlumare: $1 off Purex laundry detergent or $3 off Purex Complete -- see the CVS section of this post for an idea on using those. Buy one, get one free Whiskas trays. On the back, a sheet of McDonald's coupons including one for a free oatmeal with no purchase required, another for a free oatmeal with a medium drink purchase, and more.


Walgreens Sales

  • Buy one, get one free supplements, including Finest Natural, Emergen-C, Schiff and Nature Made. Also BOGO: SoftSoap or Irish Spring bodywash, hearing aid batteries, W brand bags of candy @ $2.99, Speed Stick or Lady Speed Stick
  • Kraft Macaroni & Cheese 69 cents with in-ad coupon, limit 3
  • Dove or Degree deodorant $1.99 with in-ad coupon, limit 4. Use the $2 off coupon from the 1/30 RedPlum, and it's free!

Walgreens Register Rewards deals(if you are new to using RRs, see the Frugalista intro to the Drugstore Game)

  • Buy Goody hair bands @ $2.99, get $2 RR, final price 99 cents
  • Buy Brilliant pH tampons, 18-pack @ $5.99, get $5 RR, final price 99 cents (Or free if you print a $1 off coupon here.)

CVS Extra Bucks deals(if you're new to ExtraBucks or ECBs, see the Frugalista drug store game guide)

  • Sunday-Tuesday only: Free Cadbury Mini Eggs after ECBs: Pay 75 cents, get 75 cents ExtraBucks back, limit 1 per card.
  • Free Gold Emblem jelly beansafter ECBs: pay 99 cents, get 99 cents ECBs back, limit 1 per card.
  • Colgate toothpaste is 50 cents after ECBs and coupon: Buy Total, MaxWhite, MaxFresh or Enamel Strength @ $2.99, get $2 ECBs back for a cost of 99 cents. If you use to 50-cents off coupon from teh 2/13 SmartSource, your final cost is 50 cents. (I know -- they're expecting us to pay for Colgate now?)

CVS sales

  • Purex detergent is $1.99. Use the $1 off coupon from this weekend's RedPlum insert to wash 24-32 loads for a buck. There's also the Purex 3-in-1 Complete laundry sheets for $3.99, with a $3 coupon in the same insert, making it 99 cents total.

Jewelis having a President's Day Sale Sunday and Monday only: BOGO Jennie-O bone-in turkey breast (with in-store coupon), 88-cent Jewel-brand bread, $3.77 Palermo's pizza and $2 Keebler or Town House crackers.

Dominick's has new Super Price coupons, in case you aren't still mad at them. These are store coupon in the ad, that can be stacked with manufacturer's coupons. They require a $10 purchase.

  • Lucerne shredded or chunk cheese 32 oz. $4.49 (This works out to $2.25 a pound, a good price.)
  • Nature Sweet cocktail tomatoes 99 cents, limit 2. (Use the 55 cents off coupon from the 1/30 SmartSource.)
  • Go-Gurt or Yoplait kids yogurt 13-24 oz. $1.77 (Use the $1/2 Go-Gurt from the 1/2 General Mills insert, or the $1/2 Yoplait kids from the 2/13 GM insert.)
  • Buddig Deli Cuts 12 oz. lunch meat $2.49. (Use the $1 off coupon from the 1/30 SmartSource insert.)
  • Activia yogurt four cups $1.77 (Use the $1 off coupon from the 1/30 SmartSource.)
  • Farmland bacon 16 oz. $2.99. (Use the $1 off coupon from the 1/23 SmartSource.)


Target  sales

  • Activia yogurt is $1.89, so if you use the $1 off coupon from the 1/30 SmartSource insert, you'll get four cups of yogurt for 89 cents.
  • 5-lb. box Cuties California clementines $4.99
  • Ziploc bags (10-100 count) or containers (2-5 count) $2.23 (If applicable, there's a coupon for $1.25/2 "slider" bags in the 2/13 SmartSource, as well as $1/2 any Ziploc)

Target gift card offers

  • Buy seven frozen food items, get a $5 GC -- ad shows Eggos or Hot/Lean Pockets @ $2.09, up through 2.5-pound Tyson boneless skinless chicken breasts @ $5.50
  • Buy two NOW music CDs @ $11.99 each, get a $5 GC
  • Buy H&R Block software @ $39.99 or higher, and McAfee AntiVirus 2011 @ $24.99-$29.99
  • Buy 10 SoBes (20 oz.) @ $1 each, get a $5 GC (wow, that makes it 50 cents a bottle)
  • Buy two Gillette razors (ad shows Fusion ProGlide Power razor @ $9.89) or cartridges, get a $5 GC. Use the $4 off ProGlide coupon, or $2 off cartrides coupon, from the 1/30 P&G insert

Free at Target:Dr. Seuss storytime Feb. 26 9-11 a.m.

Stapleshas free-after Easy Rebate items: 500 sheets multipurpose paper, Stickies notes, Pentel pens and 4x6 photo paper.

Carson's has coupons good Sunday and Monday only: two for 25 percent off a sale price apparel or jewelry item, and one for 20 percent off your sale price purchase.

Michael's has a coupon for 50 percent off one regular price item, good Sunday only, one for 20 percent off entire purchase Monday only, one for 40 percent off one regular price item Tues-Sat only, plus one for an extra 20 percent off sale or regular artist canvas, paper pads and open stock paper, and one for an extra 40 percent off regular or sale price artist paints, pencils, pastels and markers. Not a bad week to visit Michael's! (My 6-year-old would say there is NEVER a bad week to visit Michael's.)

Jo-Ann fabric and craft store has a coupon for 10 percent off entire purchase, Sunday and Monday only (use coupon code NGSE52online); 40 percent off one regular-priced item good all week (use coupon code NER57online), 50 percent off custom framing order, 50 percent off one regular-price fabric good all week. And, oh! It says they take competitor coupons, so all those Michael's coupons also apply here.

Hancock fabrics has a coupon for 10 percent off your whole purchase, Monday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. only.

Menardsis offering a rebate on Clorox products: Spend $10, get $3 rebate, spend $20, get $6. Menards also has free after mail-in-rebate items: Eraser Mop or Perfect Mop after $4 MIR, vinyl mini blinds after $2 MIR.

Toys R Usis advertising a $5 gift card if you buy 2 Similac, Enfamil or Gerber Good Start 32 oz., 6-can/bottle cases of ready-to-feed formula. They're also advertising a trade-in event through Monday, 2/21, where you can get 25 percent off a new car seat, stroller, travel system, high chair, play yard, bassinet, crib or toddler bed from participating brands when you bring in an old one.

Sports Authority has a coupon for 10 percent off any home gym, treadmill, elliptical, exercise bike or weight bench priced $200 or more.
