Police search for missing South Side woman

A 66-year-old woman with a history of suffering epileptic seizures is missing from the South Side, police said this evening.

Janice Jackson was last seen Wednesday at her home on the 7900 block of South Essex Avenue in the city's South Chicago neighborhood, according to an alert issued by police.

Jackson is described in the alert as black, 5-foot-4, 150 pounds, with brown eyes, light brown hair with microbraids and a medium complexion.

She walks with the aid of a crutch because of a significant limp with her right leg and has suffered epileptic seizures in the past, police said.

Anyone with information about Jackson's whereabouts should call the Calumet Area Special Victims Unit at 312-747-8274.
