Chicago Public Schools incoming CEO Jean-Claude Brizard will be sworn in at next week’s board meeting.
Although his contract has yet to be finalized, Brizard will take over as schools chief Wednesday. He has been working on a transitional basis since Tuesday and officials expect his contract will be ready for board approval in June.
He will be paid retroactively, said CPS spokeswoman Becky Carroll.
The new board will not be sworn in until the June 22 board meeting.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
