Four people were injured this afternoon in a traffic accident in the Jefferson Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
The crash, which occurred near Foster-Austin Park at the intersection of Berwyn and Austin avenues at about 4:09 p.m., spurred a call for additional emergency medical services.
While details of the crash weren't available, fire department officials said that four people were taken to Resurrection Medical Center. Two victims were reported to be in good condition, while two others were in good to fair condition, fire department spokesman Richard Rosado said.
Five others involved in the crash refused medical service at the scene, he said. Rosado didn't have the age or gender information on the victims.
The crash was cleared by 4:30 p.m. Chicago police didn't have any details on the crash, or how many vehicles were involved.
