What was he thinking?

What was he thinking? Aaron Lynch's transfer from Notre Dame to South Florida had many scratching their heads. And it wasn't because of the sanctimonious notion that anyone who chooses to leave Notre Dame has reduced their future earning potential. It's because the mercurial defensive end just had to grow up, be a team player, suck up three more semesters of school away from his girlfriend and he could be a first-round NFL draft pick as a pass-rush monster for a nationally elite team. Once removed, the Irish wound up better off. Meanwhile, according to people connected to South Florida's staff, Lynch was as unwieldy there as he was in South Bend, and perhaps worse. He can make up for one bad decision by deciding to let new Bulls coach Willie Taggart turn him around.
