Wayne "Tree" Rollins, an 18-year NBA veteran and former head coach of the WNBA's Washington Mystics, has been named an assistant coach of the Chicago Sky.
Rollins, 57, replaces Jeff House, who has become an assistant women's coach at the University of Kentucky.
Rollins has been an assistant coach with three NBA teams: Orlando, Washington and Indiana. He spent parts of two seasons as the Mystics head coach before being fired in July 2008.
A 7-foot-1-inch center from Clemson, Rollins played in the NBA from 1977 through 1995, twice earning all-defensive team honors. He was the league's leading shot blocker in 1983 and finished second in blocks four times.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
