Cardinals training camp - 1950

Chicago Cardinals players (left to right) Charley Trippi, Elmer Angsman, Jim Hardy and Pat Harder run windsprints during training camp in Beaver Dam, Wis. in August 1950. Trippi and Angsman, both halfbacks, and Harder, a fullback, were part of the Cardinals' famous "Dream Backfield". This group, which ran out of head coach Jimmy Conzelman's T-formation offense, were instrumental to the team's advancing to the 1947 and 1948 NFL Championship games.
