A $9 order for garlic bread sounds a little extreme, but we're talking about a platter of toasted garlic ciabatta placed over a pool of gorgonzola fonduta. A single order will suffice for four, and yes, you can request a half-order. The menu includes some interesting pastas and panini, and the fish of the day could be seared scallops with polenta and green beans ($20, above). Steaks are pricey, but the skirt steak, dressed with thin ribbons of basil-mint pesto and accompanied by excellent truffled fries, is a steal for $17. Phil Vettel/Tribune
