Arrests in Baltimore for illegal guns often lead to dropped charges or little jail time

Threatening note briefly halts Metra trains

Metra trains were halted for about 15 minutes on the Union Pacific North near the Rogers Park station this morning while police investigated a threatening note.

The trains were halted shortly before 7 a.m., said Tom Miller, a Metra spokesman.

Police officers aided by canine teams investigated a threatening note left in the area, Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.

Police gave Metra officials clearance to resume service at 7:12 a.m.
