Owner Bill Veeck

Bill Veeck owned the White Sox from 1959 to 1961 and again from 1975 to 1981. His promotions were legendary in both success, like exploding scoreboards and having announcer Harry Caray sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," and failure, like "Disco Demolition Night" at Comiskey Park in 1979.
