Manager Al Lopez

The <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000167" title="Chicago White Sox" href="/topic/sports/baseball/chicago-white-sox-ORSPT000167.topic">White Sox</a> never had a losing record when <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PESPT004439" title="Al Lopez" href="/topic/sports/al-lopez-PESPT004439.topic">Al Lopez</a> was the manager (1957 to 1965 and 1968 to 1969). Lopez led the Sox to the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="15007001" title="American League" href="/topic/sports/baseball/american-league-15007001.topic">American League</a> pennant in 1959 and finished second five times during his tenure in Chicago. He was elected to the Hall of Fame as a manager in 1977.
