Sighting: Julius Peppers celebrates Bears win at Lux Bar and other sports sightings

About Last Night

Julius Peppers hung out in the Gold Coast neighborhood following Sunday’s game at Soldier Field, just like he did after the Bears’ previous home game.

The Bears defensive end, who dined at Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse following his team’s win over the Indianapolis Colts September 9, opted for nearby Lux Bar following Sunday’s win over the St. Louis Rams. Teammate Israel Idonije visited Swirlz Cupcakes Tuesday to prepare his “Izzy Bear” cupcakes, which are currently on sale at the Lincoln Park cupcake shop and benefit his Israel Idonije Foundation.

The CubsAlfonso Soriano, Matt Garza and Jeff Samardzija hung out Tuesday at Board Room. Teammate Anthony Rizzo dined at Joe’s Stone Crab Thursday and St. Louis Cardinals’ hitting coach Mark McGwire was there Friday.

The Bulls' Luol Deng hung out at Paris Club’s upstairs club, Studio Paris, Saturday. Former Bull Omer Asik dined at Roka Akor Thursday.

The Bulls’ Jimmy Butler visited Royal Pawn Shop last week. According to a spokeswoman for the store, which will be featured on TruTV’s “Hardcore Pawn: Chicago,” “Jimmy Butler stopped in to say hello to his friends at Royal. Star sightings are not unusual at Royal as the Cohen family has many famous and wealthy customers shopping for high-end watches and jewelry.”

The Blackhawks' Daniel Carcillo and Duncan Keith had lunch Wednesday at Japonais.
