Junior Exchange Club members Holli Kranz, 17, and Deanna Galea, 17, both juniors At Warren High School in Gurnee, join Roberta Pfeiffer, president, Breakfast Exchange Cub of Gurnee, in bringing boxes full of donated childrens' items to a waiting van for "Gurnee's Biggest Baby Shower" to promote awareness of the Illinois Safe Haven Law. The law provides parents the ability to bring an unharmed newborn 7 days or younger to a "safe haven" as an alternative to abandonment. The donated items will go to area shelters and facilities that aid families and infants in need. Tribune photo by Chris Walker
