A day after leaving the Hawks' 4-2 victory over the Calgary Flames on Sunday night at the United Center, Seabrook will travel with the team to Pittsburgh for Tuesday night's game against the Penguins.
Seabrook was injured during the first period when he was hit illegally from behind by the Flames' Rene Bourque and crashed face-first into the boards. The veteran was on the ice for several moments before slowly making his way to the Hawks bench and dressing room. After the game, coach Joel Quenneville said Seabrook, who has missed time on three different occasions with concussions throughout his career, "seemed okay."
It's not yet known whether Seabrook will face the Penguins, but the fact he will board the charter flight with teammates is a good sign.
According to the NHL, Bourque is scheduled to have a disciplinary hearing Monday as a result of the hit that drew a five-minute boarding penalty and game misconduct.
